April Chambers

BAC Faculty Artist: Fiber Arts & Digital Design

April Chambers, originally from a sleepy New England town was a creative child of the 90’s. As a young adult she went to art school, where she studied textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design. Like her peers, immediately following graduation she hightailed it to New York to begin what has become a wild ride designing textiles for all sorts of people. With 20 years professional experience, April designs wall coverings, fabrics, and rugs that grace luxury residential and commercial interiors across the globe.

Design is meant to be fun! After 18 years in NYC, April wanted to get back to that particular beauty only New England has to offer. Finding her place in the quirky village of Housatonic, MA, she continues designing from her home studio. Inspired by the world, art, design, and the events that happen in a day, April is excited to lend her skills in design to engage with the community of fellow artists.
