It all started back in 1988 when I wandered into a pottery studio in NY, never imagining that it would be a life-changing event. Now, more than 35 years later, clay is my passion. Clay is a fascinating medium with endless possibilities. It gives me great pleasure to form a mound of mud into a functional piece of art.
I was a special education teacher by profession and a hobbyist potter for many years. During that time, I was taking classes and workshops throughout NYC and NJ. Over the years I have participated in pit, wood and raku firings. In 2018, I was fortunate enough to become a full-time potter, teaching pottery in a local NJ community studio.
Now, as a Berkshire County resident, I work at The Berkshire Art Center and The Clay Cottage. I teach wheel throwing and raku workshops. I sell my work at local shops and galleries throughout the county.
