Mary Beth’s career as an art teacher spanned 37 years, with 24 years spent at Taconic High School, Pittsfield. Since retirement from public school teaching, she has been involved with art in her community in a number of capacities, including as president of the Berkshire Art Association, and has taught art to children with the Becket Arts Center, and more recently, Berkshire Art Center.

For two years, she has been a project leader for Tanglewood’s DARTS Days in the Arts, a week long day camp for middle school students. For 5 years, she facilitated the annual Spotlight on the Arts Show and Showcase, a March celebration of the art of students from the county’s public schools at the Berkshire Museum.

Mary Beth has shown her work at the Lichtenstein Center in Pittsfield, the Stairwell Gallery at Citizens’ Hall, and in the 2021 show, Still Life, Flowers, Fruit and Foods in Repose, at Spencertown Academy, Spencertown, New York.
