Focal Point Series: Join IS183 at Tanglewood!
In partnership with The Tanglewood Learning Institute and led by IS183 Faculty Artists, Focal Point offers amateur artists the opportunity to hone their skills in photography and watercolor, with the iconic natural beauty of the Tanglewood grounds as a backdrop.
Focal Point: Photography
Explore the landscape, architecture, and design of the Tanglewood campus with photographer Thad Kubis! IS183's Faculty Artist will guide students each week in exercises in composition, shape, value, and texture in this indoor photography course. Students should bring a film, digital, or smartphone camera to this class and have basic knowledge of its functions.
Focal Point: Watercolor
Explore the landscape, architecture, and design of the Tanglewood campus with painter Wednesday Nelena Sorokin! Students will be guided each week in exercises in composition, shape, value, and texture in this indoor painting course. All materials are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own watercolors and paper if they wish.
Focal Point will take place on Saturdays, 10 a.m.–12 p.m., over four-week sessions in the fall (October 26, November 2, 9, and 16) and spring (April 25, May 2, 9, and 16).
Please register for these classes through The Tanglewood Learning Institute at www.tli.org or 888-266-1200.
