A trip to Nantucket with a new iPhone in the summer of 2015 opened up a whole new way of seeing and using my "camera." Having it always in hand allowed me to focus not only on the perfect photograph but also to become a documenter of my surroundings. I decided to take photos every day and in some creative way use the photograph to make a piece of art. Upon returning home I fell out of the daily practice but then became determined to pick it up on January 1, 2016. The project became 366 iPhone. It was a year that got me out on days to places I would not have gone, to explore my interior space, and has provided a wealth of material that continues to provide inspiration for new work.
