About the BAC
Berkshire Art Center, formerly known as IS183, is a nonprofit community art school encouraging people of all ages, means, and skill levels to enrich their lives through hands-on experience in the visual arts. Growing and sustaining artists in the Berkshires and beyond since 1991!
Berkshire Art Center is the leading provider of high-quality, hands-on instruction in the visual arts year-round at sites throughout Berkshire County.
Our classes and workshops are open to students of all levels, ages 14 and older. Classes are usually limited to about 12 students, allowing our faculty to provide both group instruction and individual attention.

Our Gallery Shop opened in 2018 with the mission to support local artists!

All work displayed in the Brothership Window Gallery is for sale! There will be items listed with QR codes, so you can use your phones to buy the work. Once purchased, you will receive a confirmation email and pick-up information. All work sold during the month of July will be ready for pick-up by August 4th.
