The Brothership Building North Gallery Window curated by Berkshire Art Center (formerly IS183 Art School of the Berkshires) will feature Feathered Friends by Paula Churt for the month of October.

Artist Statement:

This exhibit "Feathered Friends" represents a collective array of paper owls and backyard birds familiar to the Berkshires. My creative vision is inspired by nature and natural found objects. Each bird is uniquely designed and precisely cut using scissors and an exacto knife. My inspiration for the colorful retro/geometric birds comes from "Charlie Harper and Scott Partridge". I chose the owl as the center of my exhibit for its amazingly expressive face and feathers. The wise old owl serves as a guide to uncover my hidden potential and ability.
