Parent's Night Out (with Childcare - Second Friday of Every Month)
Friday, May 12, 6:00pm-8:00pm
Citizens’ Hall, 13 Willard Hill Road, Stockbridge
Join BAC at our Stockbridge location (Citizens' Hall) for a creative, social night out without the hassle of childcare! Grown ups will participate in an artmaking experience while children (ages 3 & up) attend their own class in another studio. Separate Faculty Artists will lead each event, but connect their projects around a central theme so families have something to chat about and share after the evening has ended. This event is free and pizza will be provided! Leave the planning to us and relax and create in this artful and engaging experience.
This workshop is open to children ages 3 & up!
Pre-Registration Required!
This Month’s Project: Metallic Collage Inspired by Kandinsky's Circles
Join BAC in celebration of this year's color series theme: METALLIC! In their own workshops, adults and kids will both create collaged artworks inspired by the famous circles of artist Wassily Kandinsky - but with a twist! Instead of just using paint, we'll incorporate paper elements including the use of shiny and shimmery metallic collage papers. Each artist will walk away with a unique collage exploring shape and incorporating pops or color and metallic elements while learning about the well known artist, Kandinsky, along the way.
This project is supported by a grant awarded by Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation's Arts Build Community initiative with funding from the Barr Foundation.
