Enjoy a 2-hour beginner-level walk around this local scenic site. Open to photographers of all levels! Together we will forage for specific compositions, which can include, rocks, water, reflections, movement, abstracts, geometrics, sky, each designed for the specific location. Bring your DSLR, Smartphone/Tablet, or film camera system and get ready to experience some of the most photogenic locations in Berkshire County. This 2.75-mile hike along the Housatonic features mild changes in elevation and is perfect for basic photographic hiking at its best.

(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather, please note the pre-scheduled make-up date for this hike will be Sunday, March 30. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)

CLASS MATERIALS

Students will need any camera system including film, DSLR, smartphone, and/or tablet.

Meeting Location

Bartholomew’s Cobble, located in Ashley Falls, is a Beginner Level Hike. Students should meet the instructor in front of the Visitor's Center.  Attendees need to be able hike approximately 3 miles, drive to selected location, own a tripod, and of course have a basic understanding of their digital or film camera system. Students will be responsible for paying site fees and/or parking fees associated with this hike upon arrival. Admission to Bartholomew's Cobble is $5 per person (for non-Trustees members) and $0 (for members of The Trustees). More info about Bartholomew's Cobble HERE.
