In this workshop we will be using watercolor crayon and water-soluble ink on plastic plates to create unique monotypes. The watercolor crayon can remain a drawing and directly offset on damp paper, or likewise controlled like typical watercolor. Diluted water-soluble inks can be manipulated with a blow dryer to achieve a fascinating reticulated texture. These processes can be used to create standalone pieces, or to supplement your prints as a layer or “ground."

(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this workshop will be Sunday, September 1. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)
