Explore the Seed of Life Mandala, which is a classic form in sacred geometry. Learn to use a circle drawing tool called a compass to draw an intricate design composed of interlocking shapes. I will guide the creation of this fascinating pattern with easy instructions and a demonstration.
Using colored pencils and markers, learn to design dimensionality and gradations of color into your drawing of this universal symbol of creation. I will share the history and mathematics of mandala geometry, along with color combinations and a technique for discovering mandala meditation. As you develop your compass skills, drawing your own mandala designs by hand will open a new world of possibilities using the healing qualities of mandala art.
