Have you ever wanted to put on your very own puppet show? Do you like puppets and would you like to learn how to make your very own puppets? In this class we are going to create an entire puppet show from beginning to end. Students will turn a story into a whole show with puppets and a set, which they will then perform for their parents on the final day. In the class we will draw from various different styles and types of puppets and create our very own. Students will learn about the use of light, darkness, and color, to create a character, as well as how to create and develop a character through the design, choice of materials, and manipulation of your puppet. We will also learn about all of the elements that go into creating an entire show. Have fun in this class letting your inspiration and creativity run wild.
Each camper is required to have a current Health and Emergency Contact Form on file with Berkshire Art Center (BAC). Please fill out this form for each child that will be attending a BAC program. Closer to the start of camp, you will receive an email with our Camp Handbook and additional COVID-19 Safety information.
The health and safety of our campers is our top priority. BAC reserves the right to run this camp virtually in the event of COVID-19 cases rising or changes in state safety mandates.
