Beginners welding! Learn Stick, MIG and Oxy-Acetelyn processes as well as cutting, grinding, drilling, polishing. We will learn to use shop tools, shop etiquette, and learn to use equipment safely and to work safely around others!

A materials fee has been included with tuition and all materials will be provided upon arrival. Please wear a long sleeved cotton shirt and/or wool and leather shoes. If you have personal gloves, goggles or hearing protection please bring them with you. All gear is provided. Please bring water, snacks, and lunch. This work is intense and loud! This is not a sculpture course but a fabrication course. See Welding 201 for creating a more sculptural finished piece. Please also note this class will happen rain or shine!

CLASS MATERIALS

Bring any scrap metal you feel you might want to turn into a sculpture, otherwise all materials will be provided. To be as safe as possible masks, welding goggles and gloves will be disinfected at the end of the day and each student will use the same equipment throughout the class. Please wear work jeans, leather shoes and a long sleeve shirt for class.
