Collage Club celebrates World Collage Day with "Collage in a New Shape"
Co-Hosted by Karen Arp-Sandel and the 97 Collage Project's Caissa Hadash and Darlene Sardinsky
For this Collage Club prompt, participants will learn how to collage using an irregular shape for the substrate. No two collages will be alike in this freestyle collage technique and we'll experiment using small recycled boxes and a treasure trove of collage scraps from each artist's personal stash. Collage Club is a social art group in which everyone is invited to ask questions, show their process and share the joy of cutting and pasting in compatible community.
Tiered Pricing
Berkshire Art Center is excited to offer tiered pricing for our virtual World Collage Day workshops in effort to increase access for all and ensure everyone can participate in the celebration of collage! Throughout the day, virtual workshops and events will be available at three ticket prices, with a limited number of sponsored spaces available to those who need them. Please pay what you can when registering to ensure that this pricing model sustainably supports all interested participants as well as our wonderful Berkshire Art Center faculty artists. Berkshire Art Center values making art accessible to all and supporting the artists who share their skills. Please thoughtfully consider your current income level (no proof required), the value of this class to you, and your ability to support a fair price for fellow community members in need.
CLASS MATERIALS
Participants will need scissors, a glue stick, magazines, paper stash, figurative images on a small scale, and a small box (like a box of tea size or a grocery box for goods such as a pound of butter or a small box of crackers, pasta, etc.)
