Caran d'Ache & Aqua Wash Monotype Workshop — Mar 10
Caran d'Ache & Aqua Wash Monotype Workshop — Mar 10
Instructor: Ian Prishwalko
Day & Time: Sunday, 1:00pm-4:30pm
Class Date: March 10, 2024
Location: Citizens' Hall, Stockbridge
Materials List: See class description.
In this workshop, we will be using watercolor crayon and water-soluble ink on plastic plates to create unique monotypes. The watercolor crayon can remain a drawing and directly offset on damp paper, or likewise controlled like typical watercolor. Diluted water-soluble inks can be manipulated with a blow dryer to achieve a fascinating reticulated texture. These processes can be used to create standalone pieces, or to supplement your prints as a layer or “ground."
(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this workshop will be Sunday, March 17. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)
