Join BAC at our Stockbridge location (Citizens' Hall) for a creative, social night out without the hassle of childcare! Grown ups will participate in an art-making experience while children (ages 3 & up) attend their own class in another studio. Separate Faculty Artists will lead each event, but connect their projects around a central theme so families have something to chat about and share after the evening has ended. This event is free and pizza will be provided! Leave the planning to us and relax and create in this artful and engaging experience. This workshop is open to children ages 3 & up!
Pre-Registration Required! In the “Note / Additional Info” section at checkout, PLEASE INDICATE all participant names, children's ages, and pizza choice (cheese or pepperoni).
This Month’s Project:
Exploring Nature Through Mixed Media
Join BAC for this fun family night out! In their own workshops, adults and kids will both explore techniques inspired by nature. Adults will use natural inspiration as a starting point for mindful doodling. Above all, meditative doodling is as much about the creative process as it is about the end result. The goal of mindful doodling is to engage with your creation in a meditative frame of mind. The doodler slows down, focuses on the pen and paper in a mindful pose.Kids will design and create nature themed stick puppets or bookmarks. Artists will learn how to use unique materials and try creative approaches while using our natural world as inspiration for their art.
