Join Artist-In-Residence, Jody King Camarra, for an opening reception of her exhibition at The Red Lion Inn on Saturday, September 10th, from 4 to 6 p.m. with a virtual artist talk on Zoom happening Friday, September 16th, from 6 to 7 p.m.
As a local teaching artist from the Berkshires, King Camarra’s work focuses on mixed media and collage. Through the collages King Camarra created during her residency at The Red Lion, inspiration can be found from the wallpapers, employees and guests visiting the site. King Camarra’s work will be on display at The Red Lion Inn through January 15th, 2023.
ABOUT JODY KING CAMARRA
Jody King Camarra, an experienced Teaching Artist, published children's book Illustrator, and floral designer, has studied art in many different media and settings and has worked with kids in numerous community programs in New York and Massachusetts. King Camarra co-founded a process art and sensory experience workshop for small children in Brooklyn, NY called Small Hands Workshop with a grad school colleague from Pratt. She is in the process of creating a space to teach art and provide opportunities for artists to collaborate in the southern Berkshires called The Art Studio in Ashley Falls. Jody lives with her husband and 2 daughters, their dog and a small flock of chickens. When not making art or teaching, she enjoys playing sports, hiking, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.
