Join Artist-In-Residence, Natalie Tyler, for an opening reception of her exhibition, “FIRE & ICE”, on Friday, September 2nd, with an in-person artist talk from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chesterwood.
While in residency at Chesterwood, Tyler has been creating outdoor sculptures inspired by the natural landscape and grounds of the site. Through exploring the fragile and forceful elements of nature, Tyler’s most recent large-scale sculptures, “Thaw” and “WildFire”, are about the effects of climate change on the environment, symbolizing the elements of fire, air, earth and water. Tyler’s work will be on display at Chesterwood through October 24th, 2022.
