This class is for curious and brave individuals who want to learn about painting in oils or acrylics. The instructor will be using oils but can offer support and instruction in both! We will begin with simple exercises to introduce you to your materials. Each class will show you a different way to begin a painting as you develop your skills and deepen your understanding. Our goal is a lot of learning tempered with a lot of fun!

ACCESSIBILITY

NOTE: This class will be held in Berkshire Art Center’s 2D Studio at Citizens’ Hall, Stockbridge. Our 2D Studio is located on the main level of the building, which is accessible via a ramp from the parking lot. In addition, restrooms are located on the basement level of our building so stair use is also required.

For all classes held at Citizens’ Hall in Stockbridge, please note our historic building has narrow doorways and is not equipped with an elevator. Our bathrooms, ceramics studio, and 3D studio are accessible via stairs only. We welcome and make every effort to accommodate learners of all styles and abilities.
