Using faces as our subject, we'll work with acrylic paints, collage, and drawing materials. Students will learn how to represent faces not just through traditional drawing, but by experimenting with different materials and processes, allowing for personal expression and creativity. Whether abstract or realistic, each face created will be an interpretation that reflects the artist’s individual perspective. Bring a photo or two of a face to work from. These should be large enough for you to see a bit of detail.

CLASS MATERIALS

A materials fee has been included in the cost of tuition and all materials will be provided for this course.

ACCESSIBILITY

NOTE: This class will be held in Berkshire Art Center’s 3D Studio at Citizens’ Hall, Stockbridge. Our 3D Studio is located on the second floor of the building so stair use is required. In addition, restrooms are located on the basement level of our building so stair use is also required.

For all classes held at Citizens’ Hall in Stockbridge, please note our historic building has narrow doorways and is not equipped with an elevator. Our bathrooms, ceramics studio, and 3D studio are accessible via stairs only. We welcome and make every effort to accommodate learners of all styles and abilities.
