Step into the world of creative photography at our Experimental Photo Lab! In this hands-on art adventure, tweens and young teens will capture, transform, and experiment with images in new and exciting ways. Students will have opportunities to take their own photographs, as well as work with pre-existing images, personal photos brought from home, and found imagery to create unique works of art. Students will need to bring a digital camera (point & shoot or DSLR camera or an iphone/ipad).
Through techniques like image transfers, mixed-media photography, and working with polaroid film, campers will hand-alter photographs and explore how to manipulate, layer, and transform images using unexpected materials. This program is perfect for young artists who love photography, collage, and creative experimentation.
Each student is required to have a current Health and Emergency Contact Form on file with Berkshire Art Center. Please fill out a Health Form for each child that will be attending a BAC program. Health Forms are due as soon as possible at the time of registration and no later than one week before a program begins. Please ensure you have your child’s insurance information ready when filling out the form.
The health and safety of our students is our top priority. Berkshire Art Center reserves the right to run this summer session virtually in the event of COVID-19 cases rising or changes in state safety mandates.
