Drawing Fundamentals — July 15
Drawing Fundamentals — July 15
Instructor: Wednesday Nelena Sorokin
Day & Time: Thursdays, 1–4pm
Dates: July 15 – August 19, 2021
Location: Citizens' Hall, Stockbridge
Materials List: See class description.
This class offers the basic building blocks of drawing. Working in a supportive atmosphere, students will learn techniques for translating the three-dimensional world into two dimensions: how to see and what to look for. While learning to use pencil and charcoal, students will develop eye-hand coordination.
There will be exercises designed in manageable components sequentially building on previous lessons, demonstrations, analysis of drawings of the masters, and constructive critiques. Having the opportunity to deepen these skills over a period of several weeks will enable you to sustain your practice.
