Using a combination of mixed media techniques, we'll enjoy the freedom to explore, experiment creatively, and produce unique, exciting works of art. Together we'll try our hand at oil and acrylic painting, photography, image transfer, collage, pastel, and more in this dynamic artful experience.

(In the event that IS183 has to cancel a class session due to weather or facility emergencies, students will be emailed the same week of any cancellations with information on the scheduled makeup date. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)

Each student (age 14+) is required to have a current Proof of Vaccination Form on file with IS183. Please fill out and submit a form prior to the first day of your class.

CLASS MATERIALS

• A materials fee has been included in the cost of tuition and most materials for this course will be provided. Students are still encouraged to bring their own xeroxed or printed images for image transfers and any additional materials they would like to use. Students will be provided with a canvas/paper surface to work on the first day of class; however, they are asked to bring their own work surface to future classes depending on their personal preferences (size, type, etc.)

Online Classes at IS183

Register for a class (or series) on our website, and we will email you a Zoom meeting link along with instructions. Simply use the link to join the online class at the designated time! Download the Zoom app on your smartphone or tablet, or use your laptop/desktop web browser. The web browser client will download automatically when you join your first Zoom meeting. You will join a live, interactive lesson presented in real-time by an IS183 Faculty Artist. Small class sizes will allow you to engage personally with the instructor and other students, just like in the studio! Faculty lessons will primarily be demonstration-based, but may have segments in which students are challenged to work on independent assignments. Each class and faculty approach will be unique!
