Class Date: August 6, 2023

Find spontaneity and expression in the creative possibilities of the imaginative slab-built creature. This ceramic sculpture class integrates slab building and surface decorating techniques to explore the use of pattern and texture on the 3-dimensional form. We will learn to color clay with Mason Stains and apply texture using unconventional tools and materials. You'll develop your skills experimenting with textures and patterns, as well as building visually compelling characters from simple slab cut outs.
(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled make up will be Sunday, August 13. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)
Beginning January 2023, proof of vaccination is no longer required for this class. Masks will continue to be optional, but encouraged for this class. Please review updated COVID Safety Plan HERE.
