This class will help you find ways to express your connection to the landscape in abstract visual terms. We will play with simplifying and strengthening shapes and developing color relationships and textures that resonate with your feeling for place. We will look to artists both contemporary and historical for inspiration and methodology. This is a class for students at any level to explore and create in a supportive environment.
(In the event that BAC has to cancel a class session due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this course will be Wednesday, May 29. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)
Please note masks are still mandatory and required to be worn for this class at this time.

ACCESSIBILITY
NOTE: This class will be held in Berkshire Art Center’s 2D Studio at Citizens’ Hall, Stockbridge. Our 2D Studio is located on the main level of the building, which is accessible via a ramp from the parking lot. In addition, restrooms are located on the basement level of our building so stair use is also required.
For all classes held at Citizens’ Hall in Stockbridge, please note our historic building has narrow doorways and is not equipped with an elevator. Our bathrooms, ceramics studio, and 3D studio are accessible via stairs only. We welcome and make every effort to accommodate learners of all styles and abilities.
