This is a casual, quick, and easy workshop designed to show students a fun way to elevate their drawings and prints. We will be using sharpie directly on clear printing plates (such as it is, we can directly trace imagery of our choice). We will then try two different ways to address the surface, and send our plates through the press to "lift" the image.

(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this workshop will be Saturday, August 17. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)

CLASS MATERIALS

A materials fee has been included in the cost of tuition and all materials will be provided to you. Students may bring in images of their choosing if they want (note, if you bring in your own they should be reversed if you want a more direct representation of your image).

ACCESSIBILITY

NOTE: This class will be held in Berkshire Art Center’s 3D Studio at Citizens’ Hall, Stockbridge. Our 3D Studio is located on the second floor of the building so stair use is required. In addition, restrooms are located on the basement level of our building so stair use is also required.

For all classes held at Citizens’ Hall in Stockbridge, please note our historic building has narrow doorways and is not equipped with an elevator. Our bathrooms, ceramics studio, and 3D studio are accessible via stairs only. We welcome and make every effort to accommodate learners of all styles and abilities.
