A workshop focused on the joy of nature journaling in a sketchbook. Choose to pair watercolor paints with pencils/pens, capture colors, take notes and observations, and create interesting page compositions. The workshop will balance instructor demonstrations and independent student application.

All levels are welcome to come enjoy, but instruction will be focused on observing and documenting, versus specific media techniques. Perfect for confident beginners to intermediate artists. Students may feel free to bring supplies they are comfortable with or new ones they're eager to add to their practice. Use the suggested materials list below just to see ideas of supplies you could bring. If the weather is nice, we will be sketching outdoor subjects, so dress appropriately, bring portable materials, and stash a folding stool or mat in your car! Bring a few photos of nature subjects in case of rain.

(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this workshop will be Sunday, May 26. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)
