Make a glass decoupage plate that expresses an idea, tells a story or is just plain beautiful. Use collage and decoupage techniques to create your composition and use permanent markers on paper or on your plate to enhance your design. Students will work with any paper image that is not thick, glossy, or larger than about 3”. All materials and assorted decorative papers will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own photos, printed on a laser printer, as well as images to add to their finished pieces! Each student will receive two plates to work on. Working at your own pace, you may complete one fully during class or both or neither. Print outs of the finishing steps as well as a demo will illustrate what needs to be done so you may continue the creativity at home! Finished plates are basically ornamental and can be used for decoration and display (functionality is limited and plates are not dishwasher or food safe). Pieces may be wiped but not submerged in water!

CLASS MATERIALS

A materials fee has been included in the cost of tuition and all materials will be provided for this workshop. Participants are welcome to bring their own photos printed on a laser printer as well as images to add to their finished pieces!
