Have you ever wondered how all those puppets that you see on television and in movies are made? In this camp, instructor Eric Weiss will teach you the secrets to building your very own foam patterned hand puppet and all the materials, elements, and skills that go into making them look so real and lifelike. We will also learn fundamentals to creating a character through the use of color, texture, different materials, and movement, as well as how to manipulate your puppet to bring your character to life. By the end of the week you will be the proud owner of your very own foam patterned hand rod puppet. No previous puppetry skills needed, just your imagination and creativity. Puppets have a unique place in the performing arts, and people have used them to entertain and tell stories throughout history.
