Many potters are making original functional pottery or sculpture but feel limited in their glaze formulas or application techniques. The class will introduce students to several simple methods that will enable them to formulate their own glazes along with adjusting existing glaze formulas for temperature range, color, and texture. If you ever wanted to develop a glaze, this course will offer easy-to-use guidelines for distinctive glaze results. We will also discuss and view samples of common glaze defects, causes, and corrections. A successful glaze result depends on several factors which we will explore in this hands-on, practical class!

*This class tuition includes use of test tiles, glazes, and firing for this class.
