This course will focus on building the fundamental skills of wheel throwing. Students will learn the whole throwing process from centering to shaping different forms. Continuing to trimming and glazing, you will learn steps from start to finish to create pottery. Students will leave with finished pieces and the knowledge to start their independent ceramics practice. This class is geared towards beginners, but is also appropriate for moderately experienced students who are looking for a refresher on foundational skills.

(In the event that BAC has to cancel a class session due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this course will be Thursday, October 27. BAC will prorate students for any classes missed due religious observation and high holidays on which classes are scheduled. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)

Each student (age 14+) is required to have a current Proof of Vaccination Form on file with BAC. Please fill out and submit a form prior to the first day of your class.

As July 5, 2022, masks are optional, but encouraged for students, staff, and faculty. Please review updated COVID Safety Plan HERE.
