Beginners welding! Learn Stick, MIG and Oxy-Acetelyn processes as well as cutting, grinding, drilling, polishing. We will learn to use shop tools, shop etiquette, and learn to use equipment safely and to work safely around others! This work is intense and loud!  This is not a sculpture course but a fabrication course.

(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather or facility emergencies, please note a suitable makeup date will be selected by polling students for a majority vote. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)

CLASS MATERIALS

A materials fee has been included with tuition and all materials will be provided upon arrival. Please wear work jeans, a long sleeved cotton and/or wool shirt and leather shoes. If you have personal gloves, goggles or hearing protection please bring them with you. This work is intense and loud! All gear is provided. Please also bring water, snacks, and a lunch each day. Participants may bring any scrap metal they feel they might want to turn into a sculpture, otherwise all materials will be provided.
