Emphasizing the development of creative thought while working in a supportive atmosphere, this course is for all levels. Beginners can discover oil or acrylics for the first time. More advanced students can continue to develop their skills. There will be demonstrations, learning from the masters, experimentation, and assistance cultivating each student’s individual vision. Beginners will learn the basics: setting up a palette and workspace, using tools and mediums, applying paint, and developing a painting from start to finish while gaining confidence with the use of paint and color. Continuing students have the option of working on their own self-directed projects or on exercises and projects tailored to each student. The class tuition includes materials; if you would like to bring your own materials, please use code MINUSMATERIALS upon registration to have this fee deducted from the tuition.
(In the event that BAC has to cancel a class session due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this course will be Saturday, July 13. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)
