Dorodango (Japanese: 泥だんご, lit. "mud dumpling") is a Japanese art form in which earth and water are combined and moulded, then carefully polished to create a delicate shiny sphere resembling a billiard ball. Learn about using earth as a sculptural material! This workshop introduces students to mud sculpture and natural building techniques. Students will learn how to make polished Dorodango balls from earth and water. (All registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult.)

(In the event that BAC has to cancel class due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled make up date will be Saturday, October 5. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)

CLASS MATERIALS

A materials fee has been included in the cost of tuition and all materials will be provided for this workshop. Students are welcome to bring subsoil from their home if they want to see the difference in material.
