Dive into the world of fun that is Artist Trading Cards (ATCs)! In this fun and interactive online workshop, we learn about the history of ATCs, explore examples, and create our own ATC series from a compendium of interesting fodder, both created and found. Finally, we will fold ATC booklets from paper. This is a must-join if you love paper crafting! This Zoom workshop will be recorded and shared with participants afterwards.

Students will receive an "Ephemera Pack" of special materials to use in this workshop. Wrapped in a striped popcorn sac, each ephemera pack is brimming with paper goodies. Explore text, pattern, and whimsy with artful magazine tearsheets. Fill in tiny scenes on your ATC with an assortment of pretty greens & misc papers. The best part? They’re all reclaimed - from a specially curated artist collection and from the environment.

Registration Deadline for Ephemera Pack

Students who wish to receive the Ephemera Kit in time for this workshop must register by Wednesday, July 17th, as kits will be sent out on Thursday, July 18th. If you register on or after July 18th, your pack may arrive after the workshop and can be used in your future collage endeavors! Please provide your correct mailing address to jen@berkshireartcenter.org upon registration.

CLASS MATERIALS

In addition to the "Ephemera Pack" of special materials that students will receive, students must also have the following materials for this workshop:
- Paper punches and patterned scissors
- Glue stick (Elmers or better)
- Popsicle stick, bone folder, used gift card, hotel key, or similar (to be used for burnishing)
- Cereal box or smaller paperboard box or watercolor paper OR cardstock
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Washi tape
- Clear Tape
- Magazine/Decorative paper/scrap paper
- Assorted, basic mark-making supplies and substrates
- Art papers, various markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc.
- Optional: Alphabet beads and glitter glue
