Botanical weaving using a stick loom is a wonderful way to connect with nature and create unique, organic art pieces. The art form involves foraging for natural materials, like leaves, flowers and grasses woven into your design. People of all ages are welcome to participate and families can work together to create their weaving. (All registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Appropriate for ages 5 and up!)

CLASS MATERIALS

A materials fee has been included in the cost of tuition and all materials will be provided for this workshop. Students should bring gardening gloves and wear clothes appropriate for artmaking and foraging.

ACCESSIBILITY

NOTE: This class will be held in Berkshire Art Center’s 3D Studio at Citizens’ Hall, Stockbridge. Our 3D Studio is located on the second floor of the building so stair use is required. In addition, restrooms are located on the basement level of our building so stair use is also required.

For all classes held at Citizens’ Hall in Stockbridge, please note our historic building has narrow doorways and is not equipped with an elevator. Our bathrooms, ceramics studio, and 3D studio are accessible via stairs only. We welcome and make every effort to accommodate learners of all styles and abilities.
