If you have always wanted to try your hand at the pottery wheel, want to brush up on rusty skills, or even need to workshop ideas for a more ambitious project, this class is for you! We will learn, review and practice a broad range of skills related to throwing, assemblage, and surface decoration. Bring your ambitions and we will make them come to life! Open to both new and continuing students.

(In the event that BAC has to cancel a class session due to weather or facility emergencies, please note the pre-scheduled makeup date for this course will be Thursday, June 8. More information on our policies for cancellations can be found HERE.)

Each student (age 14+) is required to have a current Proof of Vaccination Form on file with BAC for this class. Please fill out and submit a form prior to the first day of your class.

As of July 5, 2022, masks will be optional, but encouraged for students, staff, and faculty. Please review updated COVID Safety Plan HERE.

CLASS MATERIALS

• Students registering for this class must purchase the Ceramics Class Materials Fee including clay, glazing, and firing. If you have leftover clay purchased from BAC in the last year, the clay purchase requirement can be waived. Please be sure to mention this in the "NOTES/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" section of your registration. Per the instructor's recommendation, beginner students registering for this class should purchase the “95400 White Clay" option. Intermediate/Advanced students may select the clay type of their choice.

• Students should bring a towel, sketch book, and any reference images.
